Season 2 is starting to stream in the US, meaning it shouldn't be too long until the drama, which is based on a short fan-made trailer, returns to the UK too.

The show stars Jabari Banks as Will Smith, a 16-year-old from West Philadelphia who moves to Bel-Air to live with his aunt and uncle. The season 1 finale left Will conflicted about his future, but what is in store for season 2?

Bel-Air season 2 is about to start airing new episodes in the US, with the season starting on Thursday 23rd February on Peacock. The first three episodes will be available to stream from that date, while new episodes will then drop weekly.

However, in the UK we are unfortunately still waiting, with no release date confirmed for the second season on Peacock on Sky and NOW. We'll keep this page updated as soon as we have further information, and hopefully we won't have too long to wait.

The second season of the show was ordered at the same time as the first and went into production in 2022. Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com, Jimmy Akinbola – who plays Geoffrey in the drama – revealed in a Big RT Interview that he was in LA shooting the second season in October.

The official synopsis for the second season of Bel-Air says that it "picks up with Will at a crossroads in his life as a new figure comes into his life who challenges what he’s learned in Bel-Air and competes for control of his influence".

The synopsis continues: "He juggles this while navigating his home life with the Banks family and trying to rebuild the trust that was broken at the end of last season. We’ll see Will and Carlton’s brotherhood start to evolve as they grow closer, but still challenge each other about their differences.

"We’ll also see Hilary evolve as she becomes more of a boss in her influencer world and how that spills over into her relationship with Jazz, and also highlight the relatable struggles around Viv and Phil balancing marriage and family while trying to forge their own career paths and reconnect to the things that are important to them."
